10.12.04

HOLY SHIT, AN UPDATE! (Managed to squeeze it in just under a year, lookit' me go.)

Fanart: one new piece in Ekaterini's gallery; one by a new artist, Kaliegh; one by Ri; four new by Seadra Reef; four new by Shrike; two new by myself (Beans); and ten new additions by another new artist, Threshie.

Fan fiction: two new chapters have been added to Feye Morgan's "To Mend the Rose."

Doujinshi: aside from a bunch of various ones that have been updated with either bigger or better quality versions, there are also ten brand new doujinshi covers.

Alright, so obviously the site has kind of fallen out of my hands over the last year, for which I apologize. ^^; I don't have any excuses, I've just been obsurdly lazy and I have the attention span of a water beetle. I've become engrossed in other things in my life, other projects, and other anime; and while Escaflowne and most of all, Dilandau, are always going to be my most faboo-fangirl-numero-uno, I just don't have the patience and diligence to maintain Slap Slap Slap like I used to, and the promise of steady future updates is wishful thinking. >_< I realized that I had a bundle of submissions piling up in my inbox though and I thought I should at least post them, as I will continue to do periodically as they come in. (A HUGE apology to anyone who've been sending material in over the last year. I wasn't ignoring you, I swear, I'm just very very sloooow. . . Anyone who've I've missed in this update, please send in your work again because chances are I misplaced your email.)

So in short, the site's not closed, it's not going anywhere, updates will simply be very few and farbetween from here on in. I will still post any submissions that are sent to me (although it may be a while from when you send them for them to actually be put up), I will simply not be scowering the web as I used to for new material. Gomen. *Feeds Dilandau a chocolate doggie treat*

11.21.03

Fanart: four new pictures in Shrike's gallery.

  Fan fiction: one new chapter to Macbrooks' "Explorations" -- "Comfort" (this is now the new chapter four of this story so everything following got bumped down.) Also, finally got up the first fourteen chapters of "The Trial" by Ryuko. Apologies for taking so long. ^^;;

Doujinshi: two new doujinshi covers. These are actually ones I own, but I absolutely terrified of scanning the inside because last time I did that to one of my doujins the cover nearly fell off. *Sob sob*

10.20.03

Fanart: one new picture by Karina Larenas Herrera; one by Meghan Taylor; and two new artist galleries for both Ryuko and Shrike.

Fan fiction: two more chapters of "To Mend the Rose" by Feye Morgan, as well as a new humorous one-shot by Feye, titled "On Board a Godforsaken Rock." NOTE: Apologies out to Ryuko -- I wasn't able to post your new story, "The Trial," because there was a small problem while formatting it to HTML, which eventually escalated into a much larger problem which I have yet to correct yet. Gomen. ^______^;; I promise though, it will be posted on the next update.

Doujinshi: three new doujinshi covers. By the way, every time I update the site I always reload at least one or two of the former doujin covers with better quality versions that I find. If a certain cover was either too small or pixelated when you first viewed it, there might be a better one up now.

Miscellaneous: one new skin up by Karina; also some long-overdue pictures of my own, homemade Dilandau sweater that I made months back in school but never got around to posting on the site until now. The sweater pictures are not to be posted anywhere else without my permission.

Alright, so I do realize it's been, what, more than two months since the last update? Ha ha ha. . .oh dear. . . There really is no exuse for it except that I'm a lazy bum, although I will try to keep more on top of things. Another problem I'm coming to realize is that I came into the Escaflowne fandom far to late -- many of the authors and artists I request work from no longer answer their email or aren't even online any more. :P I really am trying to make this site grow a bit, and I'm also musing on whether I want to go through the work to revamp the layout or not. . . Blaaaah. Too many projects right now.

8.1.03

A month since the last revision. Gomen. I've got a big project in the works right now, and it's taking up a large chunk of my time. Anyway, for today: one new piece of fanart by Feye Morgan, and one new artist gallery for Jenna.

Next up: one more chapter of Serenade's "Ties of Blood"; four chapters of "To Mend the Rose" by Feye Morgan; and two new fanfictions by new authors: "The Soul of the Creation" by Ryuko, and "Promises" by an unnamed author, but it's been put under the alias of Dreamchild. Also, I've recently taken the time to go over both of my own pieces of fiction and re-edited both of them -- "Am I Not Merciful" and "When All Is Said." You might or might not notice any of the changes. *Shrug*

And also, two more new doujinshi covers. I haven't gotten around to scanning in my new doujins yet, because they're both so beautiful and I'm having a hard time grasping the concept of having to bend the spines. . . >___<

7.1.03

New this update: one new piece of fanart by Ri, as well as a link to her online Dilandau and Celena comic, "Dream Sequence". (Sorry it took me so long to get up a link, Ri.) There's also one new artist gallery by Feye Morgan.

For written work, there's the last two chapters to Feye Morgan's "Journey of Fire and Shadow", as well as two new fanfictions by her: "To Mend the Rose", and "Remember Tenshi". There has also been another new chapter added to "Explorations" by Macbrooks -- it took place between chapter four and the former chaper five, so it's now the new chapter 5, and everything else was bumped down accordingly. Confused? You're smart people. You'll figure it out.

To top it all off, three new doujinshi covers have also been posted. Muh ha, I finally received the three new doujinshis I ordered last month. They're so bloody beautiful. I'll try to get them scanned in soon. *Squeals fangirlishly*

6.10.03

Hmm, lot's of stuff today. To start it off, there's new fanart by Ri, Ekaterini, and Resuri.

I've also posted a hand full of new fanfiction chapters: the last chapter of "Behind Enemy Lines" by rainjewel; chapter eight of "Journeying Back" by Meghan Taylor; three new chapters of "Journey of Fire and Shadow" by Feye Morgan; and another chapter of "Explorations" by Macbrooks (this chapter goes between the former second and third chapters, so it is now actually the NEW chapter three in the "Explorations" series because everything had to be bumped up a chapter to make room.) Ooh, and also the fourth and final chapter of my own Dilandau fiction, "When All Is Said" has finally been posted, along with some random author's notes. Gomen for taking so long. *Bow*

Three new doujinshi covers have been added too. *Glee* So many pretty doujinshis! *Prances around her computer room* (Muh ha ha, I've also just ordered three new doujinshis of my own, and I'm currently anxiously awaiting them to arrive in the mail. >____< And if anyone cares, I also recieved the first batch of english translations for my Memory of Gaea artbook. *Squeal* Alright, I'm done now.)

Ah, and to top it all off, Meghan Taylor was kind enough to give me permission to post pictures of her own homemade Dilandau plushy. They can be found in the miscellaneous archive. La la la. *Wishes she had a plushy of her own* *Teardrop*

5.3.03

Ohmygod, I don't think it's possible to actually express how cold it is in my basement right now. I'm serious, if we get one more stinkin' snow fall where I live here, I think I'm going to start a revolt against the weather and shove the picket sign right up Mother Nature's ass. *Cough cough* Anyhoo. . .

Let's see. We have three new pieces of fanart by Ri, as well as a gallery for a new artist, Meghan Taylor. I really wish I could get back to some of my art, but I just don't have the time anymore. :P

A load of fanfiction today, starting off with two stories that I was very late in posting -- to both authors, fee free to kick my ass for taking so long. *Bows* So finally here's a story in progress, "Journey of Fire and Shadow" by Feye Morgan; and also a longer piece titled "Behind Enemy Lines" by rainjewel. Along with those, there's also two stories by the fabulous new author, Meghan Taylor, who kindly contributes "New Blood" and "Journeying Back". Whee!

Gya ha ha, and as promised, my newest doujinshi has been all scanned in and posted for everyone's viewing enjoyment. "Mind Chaser" is 50 pages of gorgeous Dilly and Van art and short stories, which has undisputedly made this book one of my most beloved possessions. *Glomp*

4.17.03

*Falls over* Um. Still don't have two of the fictions I promised to be up ready yet. . . Gomen to both authors. Feel free to beat me with something large and blunt until they're posted on the next revision. >___< ;; However, we do have a bit of new fanart -- one by Ekaterini and two by Hellsing. A cookie to you both.

Oh yeah, one new, unfortunately tiny but new nontheless, doujinshi cover in the Miscellaneous Cover gallery. Whoo, but there's more doujinshi to be had!!! I've somehow warped into this scary, obsessive doujinshi-buying freak the past couple months, and I've finally gotten my ass around to scan in my first two. The first one is called "Seija no Kokuin" -- 45 pages of Dilly and Dragonslayer shorts. It's so cute. It turns out the prior two doujin pages, "Piercing Through the Dark Night" that were previously archived are part of this book, so they're included with the Seija scans now.

The second doujinshi that's been posted isn't actually "new", per sa -- ever since I found the scans of Dark Roses' version, it's been on my top most-wanted list, and I finally snatched a copy up for myself of "Shake Down". Since I now have my own copy of that doujinshi, I scanned it in myself and fixed up the pages, so there's nothing really new for it but the scans are much nicer quality now. Whee!

I also just recently recieved my latest new doujinshi -- a copy of the fabulous "Mind Chaser" which is now one of my most-prized posessions. ^^ I haven't been able scan it yet, so it should be on the next update. Also keep in mind that my awesome friend at Aku Tenshi has promised me some of her staff to devote to translating all my doujins for me, so eventually I hope to have everything here in English. *Dies*

4.3.03

Didn't get a chance to post that story I promised -- I'm scrambling to find a chapter from it that I discovered wasn't posted on fanfiction.net. The author and I are working on it. *Sweatdrop*

Today's a doujinshi update though! There's about seven new miscellaneous doujinshi covers up -- as well as a couple taken down from that page due to the fact that actual scans from inside them have now been posted. Also, two new actual doujinshi book scans -- "Mind Chaser", which I could only find six pages for, but also a 29 pages of "Garden of Shining", a nice heaping helping of lemony Dilandau x Folken art. I haven't gotten off my ass to scan my doujinshi that I bought a week or so ago, but I will soon; and I also bought another one a couple nights ago. Both of them will be posted as soon as I get some time.

3.26.03

Meant to update sooner, but like always, life got in the way. >___< Anyhoo, revisions for today: three new animations in the Miscellaneous section, courteousy of "The Dragon Roost".

Whoo! Six new great fan fictions, and all by new authors. Sweet ass. There's "Touching Silver Flames" by Leila Hime; three pieces by Tenshi no Korin -- "Token Resistance", and two that I admit focus more on Celena, but still carry enough Dilandau-ism to them to count here: "All the Sleepy Dancers Gone", and "Castles Burning in My Heart". Lastly, rainjewel contributes "Once Upon a Glass of Wine", and "Cut", as well as a third fiction which I just haven't finished coding yet -- I'll be sure to put her third piece up on the next update.

Also, four new pretty doujinshi covers that I've picked up from here and there -- they're all in the covers page off the main doujin gallery. And hey, I recieved my first Dilandau doujinshi in the mail a couple days ago! It's sooooo cute! *Squeals* When I get some time next week, I'll scan it all in and get it translated. Wheee!

3.4.03

Not a big update today -- I've scrounged up nine new doujinshi covers from here and there that have been squirrled away in my labarinth of files for the last week or so. You can find them in the doujinshi covers gallery off the main doujinshi page. In other Dilandau-centric news, the progress of translating the little artbook doujin of mine is apparently going smoothly -- should be able to post it some time soon, and I'm also trying to buy a couple doujinshis of my own. Horrah! *Frolics* ^________^

2.25.03

Hmm. . . Unfortunately, no new art to speak of -- *pout* -- however, there is a big dish of fiction this update which is just as dandy:

One new contribution by Macbrooks, titled "Dreams", as well a new fiction by two new authors: a very long but well-written epic called "Twisted Fortune", by Nixers and Bonnejeanne. (I apologize so much for taking so long to post this story -- bad me. Bad bad me.)

Also put up the proper, full and revised edition of "Hidden Truths" by Mercedes. Very sorry to Mercedes about all the confusion with the titles and the chapters, and again, for taking so bloody long to post it finally. *Deepest shame* The story is actually called "Magic and Memory" and it has two parts: "Magic and Memory: Vale of Exiles" and then "Magic and Memory: Hidden Truths". Sorry again for the constant mixups. Lastly, one new chapter has been posted to Kus Kus's "Never Forgotten": it appears that the version that I originally posted was lacking one chapter that I hadn't been aware existed, until I found a newer revised edition of the story elsewhere on the net. So now there's a new chapter at the end of Part 3 of that fiction.

I recently recruited the help of one of my friends in translating the little Dilandau doujinshi in the back of my Memory of Gaea artbook, so look forward to that in the coming revisions when it gets finished. I'll try to get more of the Dilandau doujinshi translated if I can convince my friend to help me out. *Squeals* ^_______^

2.5.03

*Nervous laughter* Um. In case you were speculating, no, I am not dead.

Sorry about this whole "more than month of totally no updates" thing. I've been crunched with school work I've actually had to put some real effort into and I've been engrossed in some other projects recently. But this is embarressing. . .I'll try not to let it happen again. If it does, feel free to wack me upside the head with a rubber chicken.

*Cough cough* Anyways. . .got a couple new pieces of fanart by Ri, Karina Larenas Herrera, and one new gallery for a new artist, Hellsing. I'm still desperately trying to get artists to send in more work, but damnit, people just will not answer my damn emails.

Also have some new fanfictions -- one new piece titled, "Return" by Macbrooks, and two by a new author, Serenade: "Fear and Remnants", and "Ties of Blood". Along with those, I've also posted the third chapter of an eventual four for my current fiction, "When All Is Said". I also feel the need to apologize to two authors who've stories I have but have yet to post. I am incredibly sorry about taking so long to put them up, but they're both rather long and I'm formatting them off and on when I have some free time. They'll both be in the next update, I promise. Sorry again.

One more thing: you've probably noticed that the font and text size on the site has changed. I've recieved some comments that the previous font was freakishly small and hard to read, but I never knew about it before then because on my Macintosh, it looks fine. I don't have regular access to a PC so I was never aware of how it appeared on those machines. If people are still having trouble with the reading, please email me so I can try to fix it.

12.28.02

This'll be a quick, little update 'cause I don't really have much to update with at this time. I haven't gotten any new replies to the emails for fanwork I've sent out. *Goes on a rampage with her spoon. Furry animals flee* But we do have two new beautiful pieces of fanart by both Karina Larenas Herrera, and Ekaterini.

Ooh. And also one new fanfiction by ME! "When All Is Said" *La la la* Well, actually, just the first two chapters so far. I don't usually like posting any of my writing before it's completely finished, but I wanted to post something. I'll try to finish the other two chapters when time allows in my daily life. Have fun, kids.

12.4.02

Whoo. Handfulla' new wonderful Dilandau fluff today. ^^ For starters, I posted two new doujinshis in the archive: "Shakedown", and "Have a Longing to Death". (Lots of wonderful Dilandau yaoi. Mmm. *Glomp*) I really wish I could find a someone to work on translating these for me -- if anyone knows any free Japanese fan translators, let me know please. *Sob* Ooh, and also a whole buncha new beautiful doujinshi covers which can be found off the link on the main doujin page. Prettieeeeee! *More glomping*

As well, we've got a bunch of new fanart pieces as well, all done by four new artists -- three with their own galleries, one on the main page: Ri, Kyla Sturgeon, Zelas, and Daniel. I'd kill lots of innocent, furry things to be able to draw and color like some of these people do. *Shame shame. Gorges herself with lots of comforting chocolate*

Other than that, just a lot of little things like coding fixes and tiny layout vamps that no one will probably even notice so they're not worth mentioning. Right now I'm trying to get a truckload of new fiction in, but that all depends on how fast my emails are replied to. *Twitch twitch* I think I use asteriks a little too much. . . *Frolics*

11.16.02

One new piece of fanart in Karina Larenas Herrera's gallery. I've been meaning to get done some new pieces of my own, but with the wasting of time that is school and work, my spare time has been somewhat limited lately. *Sob* And just when I have so many idea for art pieces too. . .

The next two chapters of the story,"Lost Ones" by Michi G have been put up, as well as two new short one-shots by Macbrooks: "Control" and "Soft". I'm also working on a new one-shot -- I'm about half done but again, with lack of time, I'm not sure when it'll get done. *Bitterness* *Flails her spatula of doom at the world threateningly*

Also, two new wallpapers by Karina in the Miscellaneous Archive; as well as two new skins, also courtesy of Karina.

Should be some new doujinshi scans in the next update -- I just need to get around to making some thumbnails of them; hopefully there might also be a handfull of new work for many of the sections if the respective artists would ever reply back to me. *Twitch twitch*

10.30.02

Finally got some time to go through some more fanwork that been piling up in my files. Lessee' what we have here:

A little bit of new fanart; one new piece by Ekaterini, and one piece by a new artist, Nicola Shrimpton.

Also some new fiction: "The Beast" by Oujo Anime, and a one-shot, "Rain Washes Everything Away" by Hitomi-sama. Along with these two new authors, the next two parts of "Lost Ones" by Michi G have also been posted. Keep sending in more fanwork! The world must have more Dilandau! *Glomps all the splendid Dilly work and cackles maniacally*

10.14.02

Horrah! SLAP SLAP SLAP is officially open to the public! A huge thanks to all the wonderful authors and artists that have allowed me to post their work here, and also a huge sorry filled with chocolate gift baskets of apology for it taking so bloody long to finally get this site up. My initial plan was to have this up about three or four months ago but things just got in the way, as many things will, such as my life in general.

Alright, I know the subheading is "A Comprehensive Dilandau Fanwork Archive", but I can't really get much of a "comprehensive" thing going here because of the total lack of actual fanwork that's here compared to the amount I was going for. The reason being, 'cause out of the original fifty or sixty artists and authors I emailed in request to post their work, not even half of them even emailed me back ever. Hense the not-quite actually "comprehensive-ness". But again, a huge thanks to those who did reply back to me and so promptly.

Just a couple other notes before I shut up: if you come across any broken links, please email me about them. I can't fix things if I don't know they're broken, people. Also, if you're an artist or author that gave me permission to post your work and you notice that perhaps not all of your pieces are posted yet, please be patient. I still have a couple chapters of some stories to format into HTML and I think I might have a couple pieces of art to thumbnail as well. I'll try to get them up as soon as possible.

So with that said, here's a cry to all Dilly-enthused artists and authors out there: send me your work! Anything and everything to do with our beloved little albino! Gya ha ha ha ha ha! *Frolics*
