Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who exactly is this Dilandau Albatou character?
A: *Falls over* Dilandau is only the most splendid and entertaining character that has come out of a Japanese series. He's one of the main villains in the marvalous anime, "Escaflowne", who's fans love him simply because of the perfectly insane, rampaging, pyromaniac that he is. That, and he has cute hair. If you haven't seen the series, then buy it. Go. Now. Witness the insanity that is Dilandau. Muh ha ha. *Hugs her imaginary Dilly plushy and squeals*
Q: Alright, what's with the title? "SlapSlapSlap"? I don't get it.
A: Silly fool. You obviously know nothing about Dilandau. *Passes this ignorant fool her Escaflowne DVD series and points to the door* Go away now, watch the series, and come back when you have experienced the wonderfulness that is Dilly-sama so you can stop wasting my time. Go. Do it now.
Q: What the hell is Dilandau doing in that top banner? *Squints* Is that. . .blood coming from his mouth or something. . .?
A: *Sweatdrop* No, that's not a picture of anything disgusting or dirty. He's just biting his index finger. It's a shot from his first appearance in the series where he's pissed off at Shesta and Dallet for trashing two of the Alseides units, and as he bents his irratation he gnaws on his finger, cause. . .that's just what Dilandau does sometimes. I just happen to like that shot. Here's a copy of the actual screengrab.
Q: Why isn't there any information about yourself anywhere on the site?
A: Meh. I think personal information on fan sites is tacky and distracting. Unless I suddenly go on an insane bloody rampage after every man I see with black hair; realize I have a rather morbid obsession with fire and anything within reach which will burn easily; or periodically find reason to question my gender because of the frilly, lacey outfits that I came across inside my closet the night before, my personal life relates in no way to Dilandau, and thus, has no place on this site. Besides, I'm pretty boring anyway. You're not missing much. If you think you might just die if you don't know everything there is to know about me though, feel free to go to: BEANS. I'm often told I'm amusing.
Q: Why does this site look so crappy in Netscape?
A: Ngh. As much I love using Netscape, it doesn't support many of the newer HTML codes and java scripts; things like the floating frame here in the center, as well as some table attributes. *Mumblegrumblemumble* As a result, this site can really only be viewed properly using Explorer 3.0 or higher for the time being, until I figure out how to design it for Netscape.
Q: What's this "yaoi" thing you keep mentioning? It sounds like something served in a deep fried Chinese dish with baby squid.
A: Although I'm not sure of the exact translation considering my total lack of knowledge of the Japanese language, in a very small, compact nutshell, "yaoi" refers to a homosexual relationship between two males (as opposed to "yuri" which refers to two females.)
Q: *Blink blink* You mean two men, like. . .together? *Shifts back and forth uneasily*
A: Mmm. Indeed. *Wide, insane grin* Two men. Together. Gay. Homosexual erotica. Two wonderful guys getting down and dirty and splendidly pelvic.
Q: . . . . . .
A: Yes, it tends to recieve that reaction the first time. Yaoi is actually a rather large theme through out the anime fandom, and although it's never really even implied in the series, many fans depict Dilandau as being yaoi, most often playing him opposite one of his fanatically devoted Dragonslayers. If it's not your cup of tea, than ignore it. It's an aquired taste. But a good taste. ^^
Q: There seems to be an abnormal amount of bizarre references to chocolate through out the site. Is this related to some strange fetish of Dilandau that I'm not aware of?
A: *Cough cough* Erm. No. I'm afraid that's just some of my own unique insanity spilling through. Chocolate is my strange fetish; in all truth, my world revolves around my chocolate in most cases. *Sweatdrop* You have to understand how difficult it is for me to keep with this facade of being somewhat normal. I think I need some therapy.
Q: Can I submit my own fan work and links?
A: That's what this site was designed for, so please do. However, please read over the submitting guidelines before sending in any work, and everything must obviously be Dilandau-centered.
Q: Could I send in my story about Hitomi?
A: Nope. It must be Dilandau based.
Q: I draw really good Millerna fanart though--
A: I don't care. No.
Q: Can I spam you?
A: Go away.
Q: Have you written or drawn any Dilandau-based fanwork?
A: Indeed, although not as much as I'd like so far. I have some drawings in the fanart gallery that go from really bad to much better in my opinion; as well as a couple of stories which are posted in the fanfiction archive and thus gallantly displayed first. Unfortunately life seems to always get the better of my attention and often drastically distracts me from engrossing myself in my Dilandau work like I should be. *Bitterness*
Q: Ohmygod ohmygod, I love your Dilandau sweater! Could you make me one?
A: Unfortunately, no. As I have long since graduated from High School, I'm no longer allowed to make use of my old school's Comm Tech room and its facilities. I'm currently trying to bargain a deal with my former teacher about perhaps um, bending the rules, per sa, but am not having much luck so far. The only person who I had time to make one for before leaving school was an online friend, Meghan Taylor. *Meg hugs her Shesta shirt* ^^
Q: Have you made any other websites?
A: Indeed. My main site, BEANS, serves as my personal site; it was created to house my ever-growing stickman comics, which I'm told are rather humorous and are becoming a rather disturbingly large part of my life, while also serving as a convenient nook to post all of my personal art and writings, as well as any other mindless froof I wish to publicize. I'm also currently in the process of designing a fan site for Touya and Yukito from "Cardcaptor Sakura", although I'm not sure when it will finally be completed. In any case, all my past site and future site can be found off of my domain page, Beans Et Cetera . COM.
