So, I got a second job working as the morning opener guy at Panago. I was hired yesterday and today is my first training shift. To say the least, the manager needed me fast. I'm only making $6.00/hr, but the guy said he could bump me up to $7.00/hr within a month if I do a good job. I'm going to try working both jobs; Panago mornings, Roger's nights. In fact, I work from 10:30 to 5:00 at Panago today, and then from 6:00 to 12:30 at Roger's. How much money is that?

(7.5hr * 6.00$/hr) + (6hr * 6.50$/hr) =
45$ + 39$ = 84$

Hrmm, 84$ in one day is pretty sweet. sort of hard to argue with that math.

Some other math that doesnt add up in my mind is why Roger's won't give me more hours. Our percentages are down or something, so we're getting less hours. But then, they hire new people? They've hired 5 new people since I started working and one of them has left. I get 10 hours next week and then newest girl gets 36? She's getting more hours than our shift leaders do, which I think is BS. Especially since I know Lisa lives off of her meager 6.90/hr, or whatever she makes. Le sigh.

I might be making a shit load of money at Panago, though. Including the manager (I really need to get his name), there are three other guys working mornings and they get paid 8.50, 9.00 and 10.00$/hr. That is some pretty sweet money.

Oh speaking of money, Amanda's bike was stolen on her first day of work! How horrible is that! Anyways, I best be off. Later.

BETWEEN JOBS UPDATE
Oh my god I work 14 hours tomorrow, from 10:30 to 12:30 straight. That is going to be a bitch, but again, money money money... I work until 5:00 on Thursday and then I have Friday and Saturday off (hoorah!) My boss' name is Bashar, by the way. That explains why I couldn't remember it. Also, I get paid every other Tuesday, the day after my Roger's paycheck. That works out nicely, but I'm paid by cheque, not direct deposit. Le sigh.

I often wish I was a part of something bigger. For example, being one of Lenin's private officers or officials. But hey, why short-change myself. I'll become something bigger. I'll take over a whole country, build it up to it's zenith and then destroy it, as well as the rest of the world, in huge ball of flaming glory. I wish to be influential.

Bought Guild Wars, which is this incredibly addicting game. I also wasted a LOT OF TIME in the prologue. To anyone that plays, get to about level 5 and then MOVE ON. Don't waste your time! The time you spend in the prologue area doing all the quests and all that shit can be put to more use in the apocalyptic Ascalon.

Other that Guild Wars, not much has been going on. Got a few more hours at work, hoorah! They're also going to be shifting me more, thank goodness. I needs the cash so badly.

Also, Norton Internet Security is a fucker. It was slowing down my system SO BADLY. It also made Guild Wars impossible to play. Now my computer doesn't take 10 minutes to get into full swing when you turn it on.

The new System of a Down album, Mesmerize, is great. I was worried that it would suck ass, but it's actually so good. The album seems incredibly catchy, not like most of their other songs. I find myself singing System all day long, especially Radio/Video. anywise, if you like System, you'll love Mesmerize.

Another post! Within a week! Sweet merciful crap!

At work we have these new coupon books. They're 20$ each and totally worth it. Each store has a set amount of books we're supposed to sell, and a certain percentage we're supposed to have at the end of each week. If your store keeps its percentage up, everyone in the store (everyone!) will win a free PSP! Unfortunately, we didn't make our percentage last night, so now my dreams of a PSP have once again been shattered. As soon as the store reaches its goal, however, we will get a 50cent commission for each book we sell personally. That's pretty sweet. If I can sell one an hour, that's an extra 50cents/hour I'm making.

To motivate us to sell these book, Shauna, the manager, has weekly prizes we can win depending on our percentages. So far, I am rocking the boat! I have an easy 5% lead on everyone esle in the store. I was at 19% last night and 17% the night before. Thats pretty fucking sweet. The prize I think I won this time around is 20$ in cold, hard cash, which will help on tomorrows paycheck. I only have like 4 hours for tomorrows paycheck, fucking exam week. Anyways, I think my high percentage is because of my charming smile and magnetic personality.

All right, I'm done with all that boring work crap no one wants to hear about.

I watched A Love Song for Bobby Long, which was fantastic! It even brought a big ol' gator tear to my eye at the end. My only gripe is that John Travolta seems odd playing an old man. He does a good job, but the look doesn't suit him. They never overtly said how old he was, so I don't know how old he was supposed to be, but it just seemed odd. Other than that, all the performances are incredible. Scarlett Johansson plays her part very well, and that other guy was good too. John Travolta really steals the show with his antics, though. You really feel for him by the end of the movie. I give it an 8.5/10.
