General
- Gift certificates for:
- West Edmonton Mall or Londonderry Mall
- Amazon.ca
- Cineplex Odeon
- Chapters or the Wee Book Inn
- Michaels
- Zellers or Canadian Tire (to buy random pretty house things whenever I want.)
- Donate money to the Edmonton Humane Society! (Since I don't believe they give gift certificates for that...)
- Chocolate! But nothing with mint, orange, or any other weird un-chocolate-like flavor.
- A large-ish fire-proof safe. I want something to put my most valued items in to keep them safe in case our house ever burned down or anything *knock on wood* -- like photos, my two binders of old writings, and my art folder and sketchbook. It needs to be at the very least wide/deep enough to hold a large sketchbook (I think 11"x14") and art folder.
- Some of those good doohickey rolly things Dad put on his kitchen chairs to make them slide along the floor really well. I need enough to do four chairs.
- Some Batman and Doctor Who christmas tree ornaments. Our geeky tree must be more geeky!
- TARDIS cookie jar (can be bought from various online stores, including ThinkGeek.com.)
- "Super Cat" (11 x 14") art print by Lora Zombie (can be ordered from http://www.eyesonwalls.com.)
Books
- The second book in the Kingkiller Chronicle series: The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
- The Hunger Games trilogy (The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay) by Suzanne Collins.
- A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin.
- The Princess Bride by William Goldman
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8 graphic novel collections -- volume #8.
- The Readers' Advisory Guide to Genre Fiction by Joyce G. Saricks
- Gargoyles SLG comic books by Greg Weisman and assorted authors. They can be purchased through Amazon.com by searching for "Gargoyles comic"; I think there's about six volumes out right now.
- Alternatively, I'd also be happy to receive pretty much any book/comic from my Goodreads.com "to-read" list as well -- which you can view right here.
Clothes
- Some "touch-screen" winter gloves -- gloves that have specialized finger padding that allow you to still use touch screen devices like your iPhone. (Ask Chelle, she has some!)
- "Dandy Lions" Girly Eco Hooded V-Neck shirt from Threadless.com -- size small.
- Socks -- I prefer plain black, but I am also partial to stripes and argyle print.
- A pair of simple, foldable, black ballet flats. (You can buy them through many places online, www.fitinclouds.com is an example. Just Google "foldable flats" and it comes up with a ton of options; even Amazon carries them, I believe.) Size 8.5 or equivilant, please.
