Another Christmas gone by~

Mood: 03 Exhausted

Whew. It's over. I mean, I love Christmas, I really do; it's just getting to be much more stressful than it is exciting more of the time these days, what with all the running around beforehand to get things done and then the running around on the day of to random family's houses and gift exchanges and dinners. >_<; Playing Cranium with my Mom's side of the family last night was too funny though, I should post videos on YouTube but I think my Mother may disown me.

I got OS X Leopard! And Magnificent Seven! And lots of books! And...for some reason lots of Monopoly...? o_O As for post Christmas frivolous purchases, I've already ordered the entire series of West Wing off Amazon, I'm going to tack on Guild Wars expansions Eye of the North and Factions onto my account, and sometime when I get back from Hawaii (OMG 2 DAYS!!!) I'm going to take back the second copy of Leopard I got and exchange it for iTV~! *Squeee!*

I think I need to emphasize again about how excited for Hawaii I am. *FLAIL FLAIL FLAIL* I am most definitely going to sleep the night before this time though...

Countdown until Hawaii: OMG 2 days! XD

Waiting for Florida

Mood: 06 Excited for Florida!!!

It's 1:30 in the morning and I'm determined to stay awake until Mason's parents pick us up at 4:15 a.m. So far so good!

I would like to announce that I've successfully and finally installed Bootcamp on my Mac and now have Windows up and running that I can boot into if I choose. It only took, what, a month? :P In any event I've also finally installed Guild Wars. I also may be a little addicted to it already... Lady Hildelphia (spelling? I just pulled some random letters out of the dark, I still have no idea how to spell it from memory myself, I fail), my kick ass Necromancer Ranger is about the cutest and most bad ass chick I could ever hope to prance around a digital world with. I'm at level 6 already~! La la la la~

To various friends and family who expressed frenzied/mocking concern: I will demonstrate the utmost caution in Florida to not be eaten by alligators. There is a plan and it involves a random Floridian hobo walking between me and any outdoor water sources at all times.

Also, Coleen, I will try very very hard to the power of ten determined sunshines to mail you back a postcard for your collection. If I forget you may track me down and poke me with pitchforks.

See you all in twelve days!

Countdown until Florida and hopefully not getting eaten by an alligator: T-minus 2 1/2 hours *FLAIL*

Annoyances being resolved.

My hair is irking me. It's finally grown out enough that I need to start styling it different because this *points to frazzled hair* is not working anymore, people. NOT. WORKING. Which means I have to suck it up and go buy new hair products including but not limited to: 1) a flat brush, 2) hair de-frizzing liquid...gel...stuff, 3) a hair iron straightener...thing and/or a hair dryer. And then I have to, you know, learn how to style it with all these new items. It all sounds very complicated. And it all must be done by the time I leave for Florida, because I will not embark on a 12 day picture-filled vacation with this. *Points once again at hair* :x

Blogger tried to be a tricksy ninja and mess up my blog layout by inserting mysterious little empty div tags. Fortunately, Google saved the day and I fixed it. THWARTED YOU, BLOGGER, DIDN'T I? HO HO HO.

The apartment is finally getting to a point resembling really clean (with exception of the cluttered office, but at least it's a more organized clutter.) I swear to god this weekend I will take pictures and finally post them gleefully online. *DETERMINATION*

Countdown until Florida and hopefully not getting eaten by an alligator: OMG 7 days!

Taking a break at work, WHOO!

Mood: 10 It's all good

Gaaah, trying to learn Javascript on your own is very hard. >_<; Curse you book! You said it would be easy if I just followed your carefully laid out chapter assignments! You lied to me! *sulks*

We painted the living room/dining room/hallway of the apartment on the weekend, and while the painting part itself was not the most fun things to spend your Saturday doing, the room looks splendidly sexy now. It's a smarmy mocha type color~ General opinion is that it's a vast improvement over the OMG 70's GOLD YELLOW IN YOUR FACE that it used to be. Now if only we could have a lull in renovations long enough to actually clean the apartment up once and for all maybe I could stop feeling like I'm living in a construction zone. *Is going a little insane*

Holy crap! It's October and we leave for Florida in two and a half weeks! I can actually see it on the calendar now! *Squeeeee!* Time to start a countdown!

Countdown until Florida and hopefully not getting eaten by an alligator: 17 days!

*Singing the Friday song* “Friiiiiiiiiday!”

Mood: 08 Cold. *grumble grumble*

Oh god, why does it have to be so bleeding cold in this office? I think my fingers are about to fall off. *Holds them up for observation* Do they look white to you? Is this color healthy? Can I get worker's compensation if my fingers freeze into little finger popsicles? Do they cover that in my benefits?

*Trudges off to get the blanket from the next room*

Yesterday I went shopping with Mom and I got all the things left over on my moving out list that I didn't have the money to buy yet, like an ice cream scoop~! And an electric kettle! *hugs electric kettle* And a pretty new shower curtain, and bakeware, and hooky things, and a peeler, and a drying rack, and bulletin board, and a white board, and towels, and face cloths, and bath mats... *continues to blabber on and on and on about splendid new household items until no one is actually reading anymore* In any event, THANK YOU MOMMY~! :D *hearts you*

*Scooshes her toes gleefully in her new bathmat*

*Scoosh scoosh scoosh*

I'm working my way through House season three, kindly loaned to me by Dan. I'm really liking this season, with the exception of Detective Trigger himself, whome I find oddly annoying. The scene where Cuddy is slumped in the shower holding the little girl in her arms then House comes and barks at her was heart wrenching. D: *tear* This is the only season where I've really wanted to punch Gregorz in his cute British face.

Gaah, the back door to our apartment building is covered in moths! They're just lining the door and the walls and the stairs, and it's disgusting and provokes the Brenna squishy face and lots of hand flailing. I don't know why they like to swarm by the back door and not the front as much, but if they don't all die by our first big cold snap then I'll be walking around to the front of the building when ever I come home.

Things to accomplish this weekend:

-- For sure 100% complete finish unpacking.
-- Clean apartment.
-- Play D&D!
-- Party down with Mandi's at birthday extravaganza!
-- Buy remaining shopping list items at Safeway.
-- Buy new shopping list.
-- Fix Boot Camp. *crosses fingers* >_<
-- Laundry. Oh god, laundry...

OMG posting from my new home!

Mood: 06 GLEE

Okay that's a dirty horrible lie. I'm actually posting from work during my lunch break, but I'm at my new home in heart so it still counts. Sort of.

In any event, I have officially moved out! It was a surprisingly short trip on Saturday actually, we moved all my stuff in one trip and the whole process only took about an hour. Whoulda' thought? I'm about half way unpacked, so the apartment is still a complete disaster zone right now with all my boxes and crap laying everywhere; but I'm hoping to have it all cleaned and put away by the end of the weekend and then I can post PRETTY PICTURES~!

Shaw came last night and hooked up our extended cable and phone line. It's very exciting to have your own phone line~ Cellphones just aren't the same. *Squeals over her new phone and answering machine*

The last four days have been very glee-filled and happy, with the one exception of almost-scary computer angst which occurred when I tried to install Apple's Boot Camp beta on my shiny iMac and it promptly exploded and overwrote my entire Mac OS X partition. (GAAAH! GAAAH!) Luckily I've long since learned my lesson since my last computer debacle so after only a moderate bit of stress about trying to find my OS installation CD, I erased everything and reinstalled Tiger, then copied all of my backed up files back on. It's as if the evil of Windows never even touched my machine! :D

This whole moving process has once again showed what an awesome guy I have. Mason has been so good about all my squealing and flailing, and he's been there through all my silly stressing (and recent computer angst) and made me so happy. He's excited to have me living there with him and I'm so glad I am too~ *Hugs her Mason*
