The amount of homework is directly related to the amount of free time you thought you had.

Mood: Tired of homeworking. . .

I'm packing away the homework early tonight because I've been working on it practically non stop this weekend and I JUST DON'T CARE ANYMORE TONIGHT, DAMNIT. *Twitch spasm twitch* I wish for an entire day to watch catch up on my anime. . . *Sob* I can't wait until Christmas break.

On the upside, I finally finished my 3D watch of DOOM. Actually, I'm rather proud of it, despite it almost destroying me in the three weeks it took me to make it. (Do not be impressed by the lighting and shadows, the program pretty much does it all for you after you enter some values, and a guy in my class pretty much entered all those values for me. . .*sweatdrop*) I'm much happier to finally have that project out of the way though. (You know, so I can have more time to do MORE homework. . . =_=) On Thursday we had our Programming midterm and it was evil. . . It was a practical test, so he basically gave us three things we had to make by the end of class and they were worth fifteen marks each. I know I aced the first one, and I just barely got the third one done, but the second one ate my soul for stupid, ridiculous reasons that fill me with rage even now just thinking about it. It was all drag and drop menus and the like, stuff we've done since the beginning of the year, I KNOW IT. . .but IT WOULDN'T WORK FOR ME. So after a minor melt down trying to figure out what the hell could be wrong with it and having to hand it in without it being finished, I went up to my instructor and was like, "Okay, WTF?" And the stupid part is that it ended up being a stupidly minor mistake of my own with my freaking frames that cost me almost a third of my mark. *Flames erupt in eyes* SO. MUCH. RAGE.

I bought the first volume of the Samurai Champloo manga the other day. It's not as good as the anime (Jin's personality is completely off, but I'm not sure whether that's due to the author or the translators) but still enjoyable, and I particularly enjoy the chapter with the incompetent ninjas. They happy me to great extents. And obviously I always love Mugen. Who doesn't love Mugen?

YAY! Harry Potter Extravaganza on Saturday!

YAY! We had Swiss Chalet tonight and I have chocolate cake that I can either A) eat now, or B) eat tomorrow for lunch! WHAT SHALL I DO?! *Torn* TO BED NOW I GO! (With or without a detour to eat cake, yet to be determined.)

Unable to concentrate on my afternoon classes. . .so I blog. . .

Mood: Computer-happy~

First off, Roboraptor is the shitz~ I never thought a half-meter long dinosaur-shaped robot could fill me with so much glee. He's so CUTE. And he can NUZZLE YOUR HAND! He's like a kitty, only raptor-shaped! If I had $200 to frivolously blow without feeling guilty I would skip out to Toys R Us and purchase a little raptor of robotic doom right now, and then turn him on and just let him wander around my house. Occasionally I may dress up a tiny, furry animal in rodeo gear and tie it to his back to ride him like a prehistoric cowboy.

Inspired by Roboraptor's awesomeness, I doodled this in Illustrator class because I'm just a little insane like that. THE PEN TOOL DESTROYS MY SOUL!!! >_<

Also, while not inspired by robotic dinosaur awesomeness, but rather the awesomeness of, uh, spheres. . .of the circular shape. . .*shifty eyes*. . .I GIVE YOU SPHERES OF DOOM! (I like the lava-rock one, muh HA.) I'm enjoying 3D class to a copious extent, despite it being the most frustratingly complicated program I've ever used in my life, and my goal is to be able to make an at least somewhat recognizable General Grievous model by the end of the year, if my brain doesn't implode before then.

I finished watching Gankutsuou the other day and it was fab -- although I didn't much care for the Count as much anymore after he became all broody and asshole-ish. The show had some good, tingly music though, so I downloaded the OST and I've been listening over and over to track 18 for the last three days. I've also started watching the entire series of Last Exile, mostly motivated at this point by the need to see more Dio action, but also because the broody captain, whatshisname, reminds me of an angsty, military-garbed Snape which thrills me for very obvious reasons.

OMFG, my sister's friend downloaded the entire series of Gargoyles and now I own it all and I can burn it to DVD and watch it without messing with scribbly VHSs and YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! *Happy~*

Yesterday during lunch I played cards with Brock and a few people from my class. Somehow I managed to win at a game I'd never played on the first round, but then every round after that ended up either Scum or Vice-Scum. *So much failure* I think we need to break out a game of Zombies or Ninja Burger one of these days at lunch because it makes lunch go by fast, and besides then I could blow the world away with my Zombie prowess~ WE'LL SEE WHO'S VICE-SCUM THEN! (Board games make me competitive. . .)

To wile away the hours during my boredom in Web class and Photoshop class, I've started to make avatars, because I think I could be a very avatar kind of gal if only I actually had some avatars. So I sort of went on a bit of an obsessive avatar-making spree in the course of a day, and now I have all these avatars and absolutely nothing to do with them. With that said, AVATARS IN YOUR FACE!

THE AWESOME POWER OF GOOGLE!

Wednesday, September 21, 2005 -- 7:39 pm
Mood: Amazed and astounded

There is a feature on the Google search engine called, "I'm Feeling Lucky," which instead of giving you a list of every search result found, it automatically takes you directly to the most relevant website found for your query. With this in mind, go to google.ca, and type in the word "failure." Click on the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.

You won't believe what comes up. HOW DID THEY KNOW?!

Ha ha ha ha ha, that's almost too awesome. It rocks my world in all the best possible ways.

In other news, I finally got around to downloading the rest of Gankutsuou, from where I left off ages ago on episode eight. I forgot how completely tripped out this anime is, like insane, colorful heroin injected straight into your eyes. I love the Count, he's so rad in all of his charming, devious scheming ways. Except for his blue skin. That's just nuts, man, I have no idea what's up with that.

Yay~! Lost season premiere tonight! Sexy Sawyer, shot and drowning! What will become of his sexy body? Tiny bitty boy snatched away from the raft to be no doubt raped by lecherous old men! The hatch has been opened, who will be the first to fall down the mysterious hole and die?! AND WHAT THE FUCK WAS UP WITH THAT POLAR BEAR FROM LAST SEASON?! (Du du duuuuuu.)

Thirteen hours of driving later. . .

Mood: Basking in vacationy goodness (and gorging on Peak Freens~!)

Well, not true, more like eleven hours I guess, because Chelle enjoys her highway driving to a copious extent and tends to speed just a wee bit *cough cough 140* so we shaved some signigicant time. Anyhoo, so despite the apparent forfoding visions of me crashing and dieing on the TransCanada Highway that three different coworkers of mine warned me of, I successfully arrived in B.C. yesterday with little error or apocolyptic outbreaks -- well, actually, not true. . .forty minutes after we'd gotten on the road we realized we'd forgotten our passports so we had to backtrack the entire way to get them thus putting us from being pleasantly ahead of schedule to being terribly behind schedule. . .but not being able to go shopping in Seattle while we're here would be rather apocolyptic, so it was a small price to pay. (Actually, I have no idea if Seattle is where we're going. For all I know it may in fact be Arkensaw resting directly under B.C. I have absolutely no handle on American geography. Coincidentally, I also have asbolutely no handle on how to spell them either, and since I don't have spell check on this idiot-box PC program, I can't guarentee the spelling in the rest of this post either.)

So what have I been up to so far in the first forty-eight hours of my vacation? Well, at the moment I have an enormous, somewhat arrogant cat laying on my arm as I'm trying to type, but she's also extreamly snuggly so I'm going to let her rude behavior slide. *Cuddles kitty to death, ♥ MWA~!* Yesterday I slept in entirely too late, then we drove through the terrifying B.C. traffic to Vancouver where I got to run amok in the insanely awesome Asian malls and stores that take up more than half of the city (Amanda, they have Sakura Media here! AND they have FRESH sushi, none of Alberta's silly stuff. Your head would have exploded with joy.) I didn't find any cute metal pencil cases like I wanted, but I did manage to score an almost as awesome fabric one. It has Pengu on it~! Lookitthekyutepenguins!!! We also went to Allivans, which were under the impression was a Harry Potter store, but it turns out it was just a costume store that carried Allivans merchandise, so it wasn't nearly as cool. (I couldn't get your scarf, Amanda -- they were all out of Hufflepuff ones and they were also disgustingly more expensive than they were on the website. I think you'll be better off to order in online. Gomen. . . -_-) Then we spent the evening yesterday at the Asian Night Market in Richmond. That was awesome and I bought a pretty shirt and some sunglasses, and had chicken kabobs~ Mmmmmm. . .tasty~

Ooh, and driving home last night -- after getting lost, sooooo very lost, Seanathan had to pull out the map, HA HA HA HA! FEEL SHAME! -- we drove along 0 Ave near the border and I got to see where the drug smugglers dug that tunnel from one abandoned house on the Canadian side, under the border, to another abandoned house on the American side, then were caught during their first use of it. That amused me.

ARRAAGGHH, we forgot to bring Ninja Burger and Zombies! We were going to make Sean and Liz play them and fall in love with them, and now I'll have to most likely play Settlers of Catan, the obviously inferior game of EVIIIIIIIIIIIL. "NUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

And ARRAAGGHH, and they have monstrously large and evil spiders here! There was this one on the ceiling of the garage and it was the fucking size of a. . .well, something. . .terribly large! *At a complete loss of something to compare it to* Like. . .Eiffel Tower big! Well, a bit smaller. . .maybe. . . In any case, EVIIIIL, and I'm checking the floors and the walls everywhere I go now.

I think I had other stuff to ramble about but I don't remember what it was now. The fat cat on my arm finally moved, but now the other cat whome we will refer to as LUFICER, SATAN KITTY OF DOOM is staring at me from the door and I've been told not to get in his way when his eyes go black like that because he's very likely to eat me.

Ringing in the month of August, in all of its splendid but horribly busy and expensive DOOM.

Mood: S'right~

Haven't really gotten a chance to post for the last couple of weeks due to August being a rather heavily scheduled month of both the working and leisure variety. Last weekend was Animethon, and that was bloody awesome. I came home with a hundred dollars less but much the anime swag richer~ La la la, I got three Roy Mustang, Rock Lee, and Uchiha Itachi keychains; two Hatake Kakashi, and Maes Hughes pins; and five volumes of manga, Saiyuki, Naruto, Gravitation, Tramps Like Us, and Hot Gimmick. La la la la~! Once again, however, I didn't get my beloved Kakashi plushy. . .this is the second year in a row, last year they didn't have any and this year they didn't have the size I wanted. . .WHY DO YOU MOCK ME, PLUSHY VENDORS?! *Transforms into an enormous pink ferret mecha and rampages through the city, trampling buildings and disintegrating squealing civilians with her mighty ferrety eye lasers* I want a ferret. . .

I came home yesterday after a four-day camp out at Llama's house with everyone (and immediately showered. . .OMG, I'M CLEEEEAN!) We lounged, and ate, and played board games, took half and hour to build a fire in the fire pit (go us, TEAM FAILURE) and then lounged and ate some more, with particular emphasis on the lounging and the eating. Highlights included a three hour game of Killer Bunnies and drunken ninja battles; while downsides were getting horrendously lost in Edmonton (BUT CELEBRATORY DORITOS, YAY!), and obviously anything concerning pictures being taken of me asleep. *Glares at Amanda* YOU DIE NOW! And I have yet to decide whether or not seeing Tim Curry as an insane alien transvestite in Rocky Horror for the first time was a point of unbelievable awesome of the weekend or very possibly caused some mental trauma which I shall be paying for in therapy bills for the rest of my life. In any event, it was a nice way to round up the last of my two years as a lazy bum before I subject myself back to the diabolical clutches of post secondary.

And speaking of, I received my scary $11,000 NAIT tuition bill for my first year. :x *Sweatdrop* "The hell?! An extra $206 for medical and dental coverage that I already have?! YOU CAN STUFF THAT UP YOUR ASS!" If Tim Curry in fishnet stockings doesn't put me in therapy, the evil NAIT cash office of doom certainly will.

I like the part with the bunny.

Mystery Link. . .of Possible DOOM (What could it be, hmm? Perhaps something equally as amusing as punching bunnies. OR, perhaps it is actually in fact a picture of a t-shirt plastered with the biggest spoiler from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which I have deviously set here so as to test your curiosity for clicking links that you have no idea where they lead to, and punishing all those impulsive clicksters who do so by cruelly ruining the entire book for those who have not read it yet, all for the sake of finally being able to have openly in-depth conversations about book six with more people, hmm. . . (Or maybe this is just payback for taking pictures of me with messed up hair while I'm asleep! EAT THAT, HO HO!) What. Shall. YOU. DO?! Muh HA HA HA! I'm such an ass.)

Blogger’s post count is operational again. Apparently, this is blog post #144.

Mood: Not as sick anymore

WOOT! First day off tomorrow after nine straight days of work! Tomorrow is expected to be uber awesome, friends and laser tag and cake festivities shall be plentiful. (Laser Quest will no doubt own my ass once again, but I plan to make up my losses by whipping some major tail in board games of the non-physical-activity variety later tomorrow night, muh HA!) Tomorrow also promises the long awaited arrival of Harry Potter and even more importantly Severus Snape luuuurve~ ♥ Chelle's promised to ring me on my cell tomorrow with a single word, "yay" or "nay" message if and when she reaches any part in book six with sufficient evidence one way or the other about my shiny Snape theory. (And warning everyone now that if she messages me with a "yay" than I shall commence bragging privileges in the form of screaming and shouting and trilling and very likely dancing and WILL EMBARRASS YOU ALL. In the case of the other outcome I shall instead probably start to cry, and will still EMBARRASS YOU ALL. Either way, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.)

Chelle and I ventured out grocery shopping yesterday and I was allowed to purchase a splurg item with the food money, so now I have a bucket of Oreo ice cream and I am simply brimming with Oreo cookie tastiness. It is awesome to the power of ten Oreo cookies.

Oh my GOD, I saw the Discworld Soul Music DVD at HMV the other day. It had pictures of Death rocking out on the front and riding his pimped out motorcycle on the back. I want this DVD like you cannot imagine. . .but it's outrageously expensive. . . *Rocks back and forth* I wish my birthday hadn't already come and gone. T-T

I wish freaking kiss-my-ass ASAPA would finally post a schedule for Animethon. . . How am I supposed to plan my life around my need for Kakashi plushy and assorted anime swag if YOU WON'T GIVE ME A SCHEDULE?! Heads up to anyone who doesn't know, there are tentative plans for a camp out the Friday night for Animethon at someone's house like last year, and then just waking up and carpooling it down to Grant Mac the next morning. So far it's planned for Brock's but we may have to relocate. Anyhoo, let me know who's up for that.

Mmm. . .I crave more Oreo ice cream. I leave now. *Vanishes*

Countdown until Harry Potter book six and Lance's amazingly awesome and far more important anniversary of glorious birth: OMG, TOMORROW!!!
