Our new house came with a furry stalker.
    Mood: 08 Chilly

What's this? We have a second bunny hanging around our house. He's (she's?) been a constant visitor to our front lawn and backyard since we moved in; we probably see him at least once a day. I never see the bunny on any of our neighbors' lawns, so I can only assume there's something drawing him to ours. *Looks suspiciously at a certain young black and white bunny sitting innocently on the couch* Toby, I think you're having a torrid long distance affair with this wild rabbit. I see you perched up at that window pretending not to look at him (her...?). What a scamp. My bunny, the heartbreaker. But they're two bunnies from two different worlds. It's like Romeo and Juliet but with long ears and fluffy tails -- and like all Shakespeare it can only end in tragedy. D: I tell you, I will have no part of it! Plus this rabbit is like three times the size of poor Toby and would probably squash him flat.

It's funny because every time Mason see's the other rabbit, he rushes out of the house with his airsoft pellet gun like an overzealous protective father -- only instead of caring about illicit bunny affairs, he is more perturbed that the rabbit is shitting on our lawn. It is kind of annoying, because I can't bring Toby outside in a backyard pen if there's wild rabbit feces that could make him sick. We'll have to see if this furry stranger decides to become a permanent resident or not.

I got my new Edmonton library card! I didn't have time the other day to spend a lot of time at the local library, but I did take a quick peak around. It's disappointingly small. :c I thought it had two floors like the St. Albert library but it turns out it's only one; though the fact that I can transfer any book from any of the other Edmonton branches to mine is pretty neat and makes up for the lack of physical shelf space. I immediately put a hold on The Time Traveler's Wife which I've been meaning to check out for a while, before realizing that with the bigger city comes the much bigger hold queue. (405th in line... *Sweatdrop* Should have expected that with all the movie hype.) Thankfully Sarah is kindly lending me her copy or I'd probably be on the waiting list until next year.

I'm getting very excited for the new Batman game Arkham Asylum being released on the 25th. Paul Dini himself is reportedly heading the script, and Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are both reprising their roles as Batman and the Joker respectively (though from what I've seen from the trailers, Hamill has toned his readings down to something significantly darker than his work on the original Batman animated series' *glee*), and word is there are parts of the game you can actually play as Mister J~ THAT IS EPIC FTW. :B Mason's promised to only play it when I'm in the room so I don't miss any of the story or animated sequences. Depending on how frustrating and hard the game controls look, I may actually take a stab at playing this one myself. Maybe.

Is St. Albert not covered in Jackrabbits like Edmonton is or something? Maybe St. Albertans feel the same about wild hares as they do about bums. Get used to them, you'll be seeing them everywhere now you're in the big city.

St. Albert has jackrabbits, yes, but it's different here because this particular jackrabbit is obsessed with our yard in particular. As opposed to occasionally seeing a rabbit back in St. Albert, I see this guy every day. We've become an obsession of his or something.

Apparently the Joker will be an exclusive download for the PS3 version of the game - but that's only in the extra challenge maps you can download, so not in the main storyline itself.

When I stopped going to the main EPL branch regularly and had to start using the community branches, I started using the request feature a lot more. Not as much fun as browsing the shelves/racks (I mostly get CDs from the library these days), but it's workable.

@Amanda: Yeah I actually read today online that the Joker bits are supposedly for the PS3 only, which is LAME. But then I saw on another couple sites/forums that some official Twitter account somewhere announced that the Xbox 360 would have the Joker challenges as well so now I have no idea what's actually going on. o_O

@Aaron: I know! It's not nearly as fun wandering through such a small library perusing the shelves. The St. Albert library's adult fiction section in itself would have almost filled up the entire Castledowns branch. ;_; I'll probably end up ordering in a lot of books.

I'm also going to miss the long shelves when you first walk in the St. Albert building that show all of the recent bestsellers and popular books -- I loved looking through those.

I downloaded the Arkham Asylum demo and it was amazing. First game I intend to buy in a looong while.

What platform is the AA download for? Where do we get it from, the official site?

Pretty sure both PS3 and 360 have the game available for download. On 360, go to Demos in the Game Marketplace. You have to be on xbox live to get it.

You could just buy a PS3 because they're sexy! And we can be friends on PSN and play Little Big Planet until our eyes fall out!

Hey, you built Toby's window seat! Very cool, my sister. Very cool.

Yeah, it was a bitch to build. Half way through I was really close to just saying SCREW IT and taking it apart. =_=; But he seems to enjoy it, so I'm glad I didn't.
