Operation "Sneak into Twilight" was flawless and we cackled triumphantly in all of our very nerdy glory. The movie was hilarious, and I don't think any review I could give would really do it justice. My sister manages quite nicely though in her own review on her LiveJournal. I have no doubt that our constant whispering and giggles enraged the fangirl sitting behind us in the theater, but I also am fairly certain we weren't the only ones there just to witness the crackfest for what it really was because there were very obvious sniggers and guffaws coming from other rows of seats ahead of us.

The only improvement over the book was Charlie's character. They gave him some personality for the movie and he was entertaining to watch as the concerned father sneaking bottles of bear spray into his daughter's bag before she leaves the house. :D I have to admit that Alice was adorable, and both her and Jasper really should have gotten more screen time, instead of just momentary flashes of Jasper's deer-in-the-headlights expression.

I was relieved to see that they took the liberty of stretching the tissue-paper thin plot from the last quarter of the book to actually span the entire movie. I was also thankful that Bella didn't narrate the entire film from start to finish or else my head probably would have exploded every time the voice over was forced to remind us how apparently *cough*"beautiful"*cough* Robert Pattinson was as Edward with his outrageously silly poofy hair and disturbing layer of ruby lipstick. *Claws eyes out with a spoon*

Yay for free movies! I might just have to sneak in myself. :D The sparkles have a sparkle noise? That's almost enough to pull me in right there! I am utterly shocked to hear there's actual PLOT, cause I never made it far enough into the book to see any of that.

I know, we were amazed. "PLOT? What are you doing, you don't belong here! You're not supposed to come in until the final ten minutes of movie!" We went in assuming it would be two hours of just smoldering emo-teen stares. (Don't get me wrong, there was still a lot of that.)

haha on brenna, your review of the movie was gold - everything i could have hoped to read. and the fact that you didn't pay to get in and therefore indirectly support the Twilight platform makes me even happier. i'm going to go read your sister's review, but i assure you that yours was exceeding all my expectations, by far :D

and it's nice to finally read someone's review who wasn't saying OMG TWILIGHT IS MY NEW FAVORITE MOVIE EDWARD IS SOOOO HOTTTTTTTTTTTTT OMFGWTFBBQ11!?!1

I'd actually recommend seeing sneaking into the movie yourself, there's so many LAWL moments that I didn't cover. The CG special effects themselves are even monstrously bad. There's a part where Edward has Bella on his back and he climbs up a giant tree with his AWESUM VAMPYR PWRS, and it turns out looking more like they're pulling him up on a cable and he's just flapping his arms and legs around randomly.

*Practically falls out of theater chair*

are you serious? hahah that's gold. i had a friend who saw the movie (and never read the books) and she said it was definitely worth seeing just for lulz and a chance to eat lots of fattening theatre foods.

and by the way, your sister's review blew my expectations out of the water. i haven't even see the thing and i actually had to forward it on to everyone i know.

Hahaha, I'm sure my sister will be happy to know she's spreading the good word. :B

*eeps* You forwarded my what to the who? *boggles*

The key problem with LJ is that they offer no stats and support no third party stats. IT SUCKS. *sadface*
