I think I've recycled that particular post title but if you don't tell, I won't. ¬_¬
Well Mason flew off to Florida yesterday, so I'm on my own for two lonely weeks. It'll be the longest time we've been apart in our relationship, and I already started missing him last night when I went to bed. (It didn't help any that yesterday afternoon I watched
I Am Legend and it very predictably wigged me out as I came home to the dark apartment with not a single Mason cuddle available. I may or may not have intentionally left the television on while I slept so I'd have the glow... WHY DO I INSIST ON WATCHING SCARY MOVIES?!) ;_;
It was nice to have the day off today (long weekend, HUZZUH!), but it
does mean I have to go in to work tomorrow. *Pouts a little* We're launching some
new improvements to our
last improvements, which you know, will hopefully be an
overall improvement. It looks very promising so far.
Toby went in (finally) to his neuter appointment this morning and I'm happy to say it all went very smoothly. I was really surprised how up and about he was when I brought him home; I thought he'd sleep the rest of the day away. I have pain meds to give him once a day which the vet told me should (hopefully) be easier to get him to take than the Critical Care was. *Crosses fingers* >_<
I also have to check on his incision twice daily to make sure there's no swelling or anything, which I was dreading because I have so much trouble picking him up. But tonight I was like "Okay. This is it. Let's do this. No funny business." and I just scooped him up! It was the first time he's been so mellow about it! He didn't stay still very long, but I held him up long enough to check things out~ *So happy* I just have to try to make sure he doesn't chew at his stitches or he's going to be a
very unhappy bunny when I have to go and fit him with a cone.
they didnt do the inside stitching? They did it with Spook so that he couldnt chew at the stitches (he could still lick the wound) it takes a little longer to heal but is overall much easier in the end (nothing to remove cause they dissolve!)
Also, he will LOVE his pain meds, 0.07ml or so? He will drink it up and want more
Marlowe just got neutered and he has to wear a cone for 10 days until he gets his stitches taken out.
No, I read online about some fancy inside stitching but Toby didn't get those. :c I have to bring him back on the 22nd to get them removed.
They gave me 0.07 ml of metacam, yeah; but the issue isn't that he doesn't like the taste, it's literally getting him to stay still long enough to either 1) hold his head and give it to him, or 2) bunny burrito him and then give it to him. He refused to cooperate this morning so instead I opened up a snow pea shell and put the meds in there~ He wolfed down the pea right away so mission accomplished.
I can't imagine poor Toby in a cone. He would be soooo miserable. ;_;
*SISTER CUDDLES*
Not quite as good as Boyfriend Cuddles, but very, very, very close, yes? :D
:3 *Cuddles back* Now where you when I was scared of mutant vampires attacking me the other night?
dave went away for 2 weeks to the UK last year, so i feel your pain. just don't watch "PS I LOVE YOU." avoid it at all costs. i made that mistake and ended up calling dave at 3 in the morning (his time) bawling and saying "don't die!!! i don't want you to die!!!"
he was also away last week in calgary and i slept with the TV on as well. just for the noise, mostly. just be sure to pick a channel that runs all night (food network FTW) or else you wake up to terrifying static or those annoying rainbow colored bars at 3 AM.
gooood luck! mason will be back before you know it :) and maybe he'll bring you shiny pretty presents.
Hahaha, oh Sarah, you're awesome.
Actually I just flipped it to another input thingy or whatever they are, so nothing was actually playing on the tv, it was just a glowy gray screen you get before you turn on the X-Box. I thought about just letting my Sex and the City DVD play all night, but there was no option to play all the episodes at once, so I would have woken up to the little jingly theme song playing over and over and over again on the menu screen.
I told him to bring me chocolate~ Disneyworld chocolate, the happiest chocolate on Earth! :B
