Piles of bunny glee!
Our newest member of the family~ He is by far the most adorable bunny EVER.
He was such a trooper for the 45 minute car ride home on Monday too, I was so proud of him. It took a little coaxing to get him to leave the cover of the carrier into his new cage, but once he did he started checking out the new digs and playing with all his new toys~ He's really only skittish when you try to pet him. I'm letting him set the pace for when he wants to start being touched; occasionally he comes up and sniffs or nudges my leg and this morning I got in a few quick pets before he shied away, so that's progress!
The first night Toby was home he completely made a mess of his cage. I work up in the morning and stuff was thrown everywhere and turned upside down, it was pretty funny actually. He
loves chewing on his wood cabin, there were wood shavings completely covering the floor of his cage in the morning. Toby totally pwned that house. He made that house his bitch. He seemed a little affronted when I cleaned it all up, in an adorably cute way~
We're working on litter box training right now. I hope he's a quick learner, he peed out in his playpen this morning before I left for work, silly Toby. The general rule is that when they have an accident like that you're supposed to pick them up and put them in their litter box, but we're at a no-contact point in our relationship so I can't do that yet. Hopefully the scent of the poop pellets I've put in there from the floor of his cage will help him catch on to the idea.
