Full of birthday cake.
Another birthday come and gone. I am a giant 23-years-old now, world! I was hoping it would feel different in some way than 22, like maybe I'd sparkle or radiate rainbows or something. Or perhaps that's not until 24. Hmmm...
Totally pumped for the weekend! It will be a weekend of shiny fun: waterpark, giggly pornstars, cookies, and
Sailor Moon. In the words of the Brotherhood, it's going to be
totally jokes. I'm sorry, web contract work, but if I get a last minute phone call from you this evening asking me to work on you over the weekend, then you are sadly out of luck. I am pre-booked to decrease world suck levels by partying down and lounging on the couch~
Congrats to Dan, Dylan, and Jared for successfully securing their new pretty house! I am fairly confident when I say that I'm almost as ridiculously excited for you as you are for yourselves, because I take a giddy thrill in the idea of anyone moving in to a new place, and in this particular case,
letting me decorate it. :3 I demand pretty pictures tomorrow evening when you come back from signing the lease. *Stern face.*
We had an office Laser Tag party on Tuesday, it was of the awesome. I managed to crawl my way up to second place by the last game, though admittedly it was less due to my skills with a laser gun and more a result of Tom and I standing there and shooting each other at point-blank range over and over for ten minutes. I'd like to think that I also had a fairly good sniping position that round as well. Running around a giant labyrinth of glow-in-the-dark foam wears me out too fast, sniping is definitely the way to go.
I'm rather sad that the forums at work booted the mad woman and then made her delete her user account. The raving antics of a crazy parent was always a good start to the day and it was a highlight to read her inane train of thought in the forum thread. We will miss you, MamaLynn, and your ridiculous gangstah lingo and never fully understanding what it was that you were actually talking about. You brought both great joy and even greater confusion to this little office in Edmonton.
